If I had to give Maddie a Indian name I decided it would have to be 'Cuts with Scissors' because that is what she does best.
From confetti all over the floor, to barbie hair and finally on to her own. (she gets in trouble for each one)
AHHHH!!!
Sunday when getting her ready for church, I noticed her hair was not sitting quite right on one side. On closer inspection I notice that it was because there was a big chuck taken out of it. I knew that she had to have done it because she has been telling me for a while that she wanted shorter hair.I kept reminding her that we would give her a hair cut after her ballet recital (4 weeks away), because she has to wear a bun for that.
I guess that wasn't soon enough, and ther was really no way to salvage a decent long style. So we disguised it for church and then I gave her a haircut sunday afternoon (I made it a little longer in the back on purpose so I could hopefully get it into a sorta bun).
It was really, really hard for me to cut off 6 inches of her beautiful blond hair, but she LOVES it short (I like it better long with ringlets). Now the ringlets are gone and my baby look soo much older:(
Before I cut it (her cutting job):

PS--- She is totally grounded from scissors for a long, long time! At least until I get over the shock!!!!
