Paige sent out a challenge to come up with 50 things about my husband. I thought it would be a hard thing to do, but it was pretty simple.
It thought that that was a perfect way to record all the wonderful things about him.
He doesn’t know that I wrote this so I hope it goes over well.
- David was born in Utah
- He moved to Californiaat the age of five and lived there until 6 years ago
- He is the oldest of two
- He is the only boy
- He and his sister look a lot alike and had a great relationship growing up.
- David’s sister, Marion, lives less that ½ mile away
- He is 33, but he still gets carded for being 18
- David went to an all boys Catholic school in high school- he really enjoyed it.
- David loves history, and has said that he would have perused a history degree if he knew he could get a job in the field.
- David graduated Magna Cum Laude from UC- Riverside with a bachelors’ degree in Economics.
- David was National President of the Children of the American Revolution (CAR) when he was 20.
- We meet in the same organization (CAR)
- He served a two year mission for our church on the French Islands of the Caribbean
- He speaks French
- He is an Eagle scout
- David and I meet when he was home for only 5 months.
- He proposed on our first date, and we were married 5 months later
- David never wore Jeans when I meet him. It was always kakis and a polo shirt
- He still won’t wear jean shorts, but has really relaxed a lot.
- He loves to travel, and surprised me with a trip to France and Switzerland for our honeymoon
- He loves to read
- He loves to have everything clean and organized.
- He has a cousin with the same name ( it can get really confusing)
- He has been an investor for over 20 years
- David built our house for the ground up without previous construction experience
- David recently went through a career change
- He now works as a Mortgage Consultant, helping people achieve their dreams
- He never had a ‘real’ fulltime job until he came home from his mission
- He worked in pest control until we got married and moved south.
- He is not a big sports fan (thank goodness), and he only really watches the big showdowns
- He is a big tennis player, and enjoys watching matches
- He loves the history channel and can sit for hours watching it, but we don’t have cable so he only watches it when we are at a hotel or a hospital.
- David love spicy food and can eat peppers alone.
- He is the ultimate ‘Mr. Fix-IT’- he can figure out how to build or fix anything around the house.
- David loves to talk- during our long-distance engagement it was hard to get him off the phone.
- He is a great husband and father.
- His favorite color is green
- His favorite holiday is Halloween (candy and dress-up what could be better)
- He is a very hard worker
- He loves to eat strange foods, and loves to try new things (totally my opposite)
- He is a finance guru; he has everything recorded and loves to show me my spending habits in a pie cart.
- David loves the snow, and often wishes that we got more snow here.
- He loves to ski. He taught Kate to ski and will be teaching Maddie this season
- He works with the 11 year old boy scouts at our church. It is great because he loves do many of the same things as them
- He likes to play video games- It relaxes him
- David is a very good public speaker
- He never does any job half way.
- He is extremely good at remembering to write ‘thank-you’ note (I cannot say the same)
- He is learning to golf
- He is six years and three months (exactly) older than I am, but doesn’t look it.
- He loves his two daughters and is determined to make them into tomboys
- He is very motivated to give our kids the best education, and is eager to teach them new things.
